It's so incredibly beautiful outside right now. I always forget how much I love Wisconsin in the winter.



A tree at the end of Henry St., just before it dead-ends into Lake Mendota.



One of the beautiful old buildings that overlooks Lake Mendota, all brown stone and wrought iron.

Stairs down to the lake; you can't tell, but the edge of the land is about level with the bottom of the top crossbeam in the picture.

Hehe, well, they're not going to be digging it out for a while. That's always one of the best parts of spring: how the bicycles reappear from underneath mounds of snow and the hills bloom with greening grass and rediscovered stolen lunch-tray sleds.

You're welcome for the song--it's associated very closely with winter for me, and I'm not quite sure why.
