xaaraI keep seeing everyone doing these "first line of each first-of-the-month post" things, and I thought, You know, that'd be pretty cool.
This was before I actually looked at what I've posted here over the past year.
First of all: I sort of took a break from this journal from September 2005 to May 2006. So already, I've only posted for nine months of the year. June and July? Were only fic. May and August? Were mostly fic. I started posting things that weren't fic at the beginning of September, when I started getting out of that initial binge of writing Supernatural fic and started getting into Supernatural fandom. This was also when I realized that as much as I like my RL livejournal, there are certain things I just can't post there.
Therefore, I am going to riff off the theme and instead give you
12. So I had fully intended to keep up with this LJ and then college happened.
11. So I've been sucked into Supernatural against my will.
10. Is it a bad thing that half the time when I'm watching SPN vids, I'm all, 'Why didn't the vidder include any shots of them, y'know, kissing' before I realize that it's because there aren't any?

If you're going to blast your music at a volume so high that Roommate and I are forced to flee to the fabric store for a few hours of peace and quiet and solace in the midst of aisles of wool yarn, at least have decent bass support. You cannot play Led Zeppelin without a sub. YOU WILL MAKE DEAN CRY.
08. Sometimes the world is just so incredibly fucked up that the only thing you can do is curl up with some Kerouac and road-trip it all away.
07. I think tomorrow I will rise before dawn and walk to the lake and whisper my wishes across the waves.
06. Religion (and especially very religious people) can be so frustrating.
05. For a minute, when Sam was following Doc and Dean was following the van, I was absolutely sure the Impala was going to be run over by the bus. This is PTSD, people, PTSD. (Reaction to "Simon Said.")
04. I'm sorry if anyone ever questioned the undeniable fact that you must have the biggest dick on the block. But in case someone doubted your claim to alpha-boyhood, playing your music at that volume totally affirms your status.
03. Don't get me wrong here--I love Marvell and Donne and Herbert beyond the telling of it, but there's only so much a girl can take in an evening of studying.

01. Right now snow is falling from a blue sky. I am warm in bed writing poetry and my lecture does not start for an hour and a half yet. In ten minutes, I will rise and make coffee so strong it will burn my mouth and my stomach, but now I watch the snow fall and I am content.
