And as a quick aside, why did no one tell me that the meningococcal vaccine hurts like a mother? The doctor said it was just like a regular shot--that quick pinch and then the stomach-churning feeling of a foreign liquid entering your bloodstream. She failed to mention the excruciating and persistent pain that followed. I got the shot at ten this morning, and my entire left arm is still sore from about my collarbone to the middle of my forearm. And the pain keeps radiating down into the top of my left hand--it's like tennis elbow all over again. That or I've been having a heart attack all day.
