Sick and sickerer
Feb. 25th, 2004 09:11 pmNot a fun week - I've had nothing but sick days. Monday I felt like someone was sitting on me all day long, Tuesday I felt like someone had taken a wire brush to my trachea, and today I feel like some little creatures are hammering around the inside of my skull. Unpleasant, let me assure you.
I did get some work done, though, in the form of the typed version of my first fantasy writing, Breezes and Blizzards. So far I'm not thrilled with the title, but I wanted to start posting it and I didn't want to sit around for days agonizing over what to call it. Maybe I should have titled it "Breezes and Blizzards or The Title That is Subject to Change Upon Author's Whim."
The newsletter, minus one review I have to scramble around and put together, has come together nicely. I had some scary moments when I worried about whether the fan artists I invited to show their work would reply, or whether all the contributors would turn their work in on time. It turns out that no everything is in, but I have slots ready and waiting for the submissions that should be along soon. Being sick really has allowed me to finish work that might otherwise have kept me up late into the night.
Of course, I should be doing my calculus right now, but I just don't feel the motivation. Not a good enough excuse, I know, but it's going to have to do for now. I'm off to take a shower, calculus or no, and no sideways eights or elongated esses or Greek letters are going to come between me and scalding hot water.
