Angel's over. The show has been canceled. There are no further official adventures of everyone's favorite world-savers.

Effulgent, ha... now you make me think of that scene with Spike getting drunk and reciting his "bloody awful poetry" about Cecily's "beauty effulgent" one last(?) time... It was interesting to see how every chose to spend his last(?) hours - Spike doing that, Angel with Connor, Wes with Illyria...

I loved that scene - it was so perfect for him, with the comment on needing a few more shots of courage. (And the poem was really, really bad, but that just reinforced Spike's character. :P )

I can't decide whether it's better to know what happened at the end or better to leave it open like it was. As it stands, the odds are pretty bad for Angel & Co., but when have the odds ever been good? You never know; they just might save the world.
