Dec. 5th, 2006 04:44 pmSo, you may be thinking, wasn't Carmen doing NaNo? What happened to that anyway?
Well, real life happened to that. But not in the way you think--real life happened in that I had too much inspiration, and the novel I started out with was not what I realized I wanted to write. The roundup for the month turned out something like this:
-30.000 words on the novel
-2 completed SPN fics (about 6.000 words)
-7 SPN beginnings (about 3.000 words)
-omg so many poems (about infinity words)
-3 short stories which need to be edited and posted (about 7.000 words)
-1 sonnet sequence (technically a crown of sonnets. also in dire need of editing.)
-1 insane research paper on the decade following the Brown v. Board of Education ruling in the southern US (2.800 words)
-1 fic that totally has nothing to do with Robin Hood at all and in fact doesn't exist
-4 short story introductions
In conclusion, I have been insanely productive. And while I did not technically win NaNo, I'm happy with the fact that I got this much done. *does writing dance*

Date: 2006-12-06 12:33 am (UTC)That's a lot of writing.
I've probably only written about 4000 words at the most this month...
Wow. I'm so impressed.

Oh? Is that so? I shall perish the thought. *dissolves into giggles*
Unfortunately, as I've said in other areas, my internet connection really doesn't allow overly large downloads, so I've learned to content myself with clips of it here and there (and erm, all entirely involving Sir Guy...and Marian...because...wow, I would so mess up and like them). It seems to be very amusing, and not at all concerned with a little thing called "historical accuracy".

Date: 2006-12-06 06:49 pm (UTC)omg, I'm so ashamed of myself for liking that show. The only way it could be less historically accurate is if they used Segways to roll around Nottingham. (And I sort of messed up and liked Guy and Marian a little as well. Especially since Guy is such a callous asshole, but somehow sympathetic anyway.)

Date: 2006-12-07 04:48 am (UTC)Hee! There are many shows I'm ashamed of liking, it's sort of my pattern. I find myself loving things I shouldn't admit to even having HEARD of. And....oh my god, to see Robin on a Segway...THAT would be amazing. (I just know I will, I always tend to reject the obvious ship, and what is more obvious than Robin/Marian. Plus, the scenes I've seen with Guy...he's very much so the evil-guy, but a rather pathetic evil guy, who seems to truly have some sort of strange soft spot where Marian is concerned...and I like that...)
