The Annoying One and I have reconciled. We've come to a sort of agreement: he stops being an ass; I stop ridiculing him in front of his friends in retaliation. When he breaks this agreement in, oh, say, twenty minutes, I want myself on the record as having said "I told you so." That is all.

My poetry writing class at GW starts on Wednesday. I can't wait. I'm literally hopping up and down at strange times during the day because I really really want to be in that class and not in Health, which is what I used to take in that time period. My sentences suck. I had very little sleep last night. As you can see, my thought organization sucks as well.

I just finished watching Buffy season six again. This time, I watched the Rise and Fall of the Scooby Empire in a week, which is a hell of a depressing way to spend quality vegetable hours. But I've come to terms with Willow's problems and Spike's hurting Buffy and Xander's general idiocy and Giles' perpetual leaving and coming back and leaving and coming back. If I have time to write my thoughts on the matter at some future time, I will. For now, I'm just happy it's over and I'm going to watch "Something Blue" four or five times to drown my sorrows in the cheesy script, fluffy Spuffyness, and horrible faux-British Spike accent.

There's something I should have done and am forgetting, which is bugging me no end. Undoubtedly, I'll remember it at some point in the future, after it's too late to do anything about it. Anyway, it's off to bed for a quick pick-me-up nap and then into the shower, into my dress, and out to the Winter Formal dance.

Watching that Buffy season when I’m down just makes me feel worse. Gee, that was depressing TV. The only reason I stuck glued to the television during season six and seven was because of the Spuffyness. I also can’t watch the early Buffy/Angel seasons. Squick!

I don’t know which season I actually like. Was Riley season five? If so, rule that season out. He was so damn annoying (and that's an understatement).

Well, I'm currently in high school, but I take the occasional class at GW, just because it's free (it has a partnership with my school) and nearby. I'm sorry, though--I don't know Muching Zhang.

Dude, totally agree with you on the squick front. I mean, I just never bought the whole immortal forever oh-my-god-it's-like-romantic thing that Buffy and Angel have going on.

I love season five with all my heart. And although Riley was in it, he actually left in episode ten-ish (Into the Woods), so it made me feel better. And then there were just some magnificent episodes, like Fool for Love, The Body, Crush (which, admittedly, I like because of Spike's storytelling), and of course The Gift, which is a masterpiece of screenwriting. The whole story arc, the complexity of the characters...everything just ended up with this bittersweet sense of finality. If I'd been in charge, I would have ended the series there.
