In Which Carmen Posts Meaninglessly
May. 9th, 2005 12:12 amToday I:
-threw a baseball with my brother until I couldn't lift my arm above shoulder level and coached him until he could field most of the grounders I sent his way.
-ate an Oreo McFlurry.
-listened to the Nats/Giants game intermittently despite the fact that it took almost five hours, including rain delays.
-planned which days next week I'm least likely to be missed if I skip school.
-sketched out some ideas for a set of long poems.
-hung out with my brother because he's an awesome kid.
-stole a coffee-flavored truffle from Mom's Mothers' Day chocolate box because damn those things are good.
-listened to Holst's The Planets.
-looked at, but did not open, my AP Physics book in a half-cocked attempt to study for Monday's AP test.
-read poetry for almost an hour.
-decided to use James Wright's "A Blessing" to close my graduation speech.
-talked to some old friends I haven't seen in a while.
-had a generally lazy Sunday.
