It's midnight--do you know where your pillow is?

Yes, you guessed it--I'm up again in the middle of the night without any inclination to sleep. I'd be more worried about this lack of sleep thing, but it doesn't affect me, really, so I tend to brush it off. It's not so much that I can't sleep; rather, it's that I don't really want to sleep. Strange, huh?

So this BSG thing. Seriously, that show is the Best Thing Ever. I've never been that challenged by a TV program. Every episode forces me to sit down and analyze and calculate and reassess. And I've only seen three! I've taken to jotting down notes as I watch, because the fic ideas are just pouring out of the woodwork, and while I don't have time to evaluate all the different angles of every action, I have sketched out episode analyses for "33" and "Water." They're forthcoming once I get them typed up and more or less presentable. Also, once I stop overanalyzing Helo because I derive guilty pleasure from watching him all scruffified over and over.

For now: I love this show. I love that we know Sharon's a Cylon, even though no one else does. I love that we get those bemused looks that Roslin sends Commander Adama's way. I love that Billy doesn't know anything about women. I love the relationship between Tyrol and Sharon, because he's so fundamentally good and she's so fundamentally evil, but they bring out the respective evil and good in one another. Regression to the mean. I love that Starbuck can yell at Apollo about taking her stims but how they suddenly revert to Kara and Lee in the moment after her outburst. I love how everyone, regardless of gender, is a "sir." As I believe I've already mentioned, I love the word "frak," though I realize it came from the original show.

It's a little scary how much I've fallen for BSG. But the scariness is almost always overshadowed by the stomach-dropping thrill of having to know what happens next.
