Dec. 6th, 2004

Okay, I want this stuff for Christmas. I am unashamed that I want this stuff for Christmas. Even though I want like, tons of things and none of them are very realistic, I'm still making my list, as a sort of note-to-self. (Of course, if you want to, oh, say, send me half the list, I'm not objecting. ;) )

1. A paid LJ account
2. Buffy Seasons 4-6 on DVD
3. A Toshiba tablet PC
4. This t-shirt
5. Lots of these.
6. An acceptance letter from the University of Wisconsin (and maybe also from U Chicago and BU, just so I can sneer at certain people)
7. Funky notebooks and journals--I can never have too many.
8. A new set of speakers for my computer

Can't think of anything else at the moment, but I'm sure something will occur to me later.

In other news, I saw the most beautiful man on the Metro today. It was like he turned around and looked at me and I was all puddle-y in about half a second. And it was very strange. I mean, that's never happened to me before. I've never just seen a guy and practically collapsed like some swooning maiden in a trashy romance novel. (I've never practically collapsed at the sight of a compound fracture or a gunshot wound in the emergency room, either, but that's sort of another story.) Nothing makes me weak at the knees or all fluttery, and yet there I was on the Metro, trying really really hard not to look at this guy because it was going to make me sick if I did.

The thing is, he wasn't even all that special. He wasn't tall--maybe six feet at the most, probably more like 5'10''; he was thin but not unpleasantly so; he had dark hair and a nicely proportioned face. But oh my God he had the most decadent green eyes and I can't believe I'm using the word "decadent" to describe a guy. Any minute I'm going to be all "take me now," which will get way into overshare territory and won't do at all.

I just might need to stop talking. :P
