Miscellaneous natterings
Aug. 14th, 2004 09:33 pmThe Prologue from Hell is finally finished. Just in time, too, because tomorrow it's another round of
open_on_sunday followed by some intensive Home in Time for Supper and perhaps some playing around with a post-Not Fade Away Angelfic that's been bouncing around for a while now.
While I'm thinking about writing, is anyone besides Oba doing NaNoWriMo? Because if anyone is, we should start a support group. I know I'm going to need one, and complaining to friends beats complaining to yourself any day. :)
I watched the Opening Ceremonies, which were nice enough but not the most impressive I've ever seen. The guys were quite nice-looking, though, and that one man who balanced on the rotating cube in the middle of the water was really impressive. And I loved the whole drumming thing at the beginning. Anything with drums in it is automatically cool.
I wanted to go out and train for volleyball season but the weather was to iffy. Hopefully, I'll be able to work out a little tomorrow. Maybe I'll even be able to convince one of my siblings to set me up so I can get my spike footing back together. It's been too long since I seriously played volleyball - I really need to get back into the swing of things before school so I can be a good captain.
This hurricane that was supposed to blow the roof off and flash-flood the sidewalk? Never materialized. Of course, that probably means that it's going to start raining, thundering, and lightninging in the middle of the night, which would be wonderful. I can't tell you how much I love thunderstorms, hurricanes, tornadoes, huge waves, and other wind-and-water-related natural phenomena. For the longest time, I wanted to be one of those pilots who flies through hurricanes to collect data about them.
Or maybe I just have a really obtuse death wish. ;)
