Who's da catcha?
May. 13th, 2004 10:48 pmThat was a pathetic subject line. I'll have to come edit that when I'm feeling more proactive and less lazy.
But I have every right to feel lazy - I was just knocked around for two hours during an intense softball game that didn't leave much room for error. It's the first game of single-round elimination championships, and we're fighting tooth and nail not to be excluded from further play.
I had a wonderful lined double into right field and one play where a girl ran into me at the plate but I managed to hold onto the ball. I'm still glowing from that game. It was so much fun I can't even really express it.
Then I came home, realized that I had to finish writing the HM challenge, dashed out about 500 words, and hopped into the shower before coming back out to edit what I'd written. It's not too bad, if I do say so myself. I can't wait to see what other people have done with their bad!fic lines. I couldn't imagine using some of them in a serious story. For example, what the hell is a "beautifula"? And how do you use it in a sentence?
More later - I'm too tired to write at the moment. But I'm happy in that rich deep-down happy way that you feel after you've just done something you can be proud of. It's a good tired, and a good happy, and this was definitely a good day.
