The show gave us so little and so much all at once, it was impossible for me not to write something about it. John and Ellen would have been an interesting couple because of that stubbornness--I'd like to see fic that gives them a realistic romantic relationship. For all I know, it already exists and I just haven't found it yet. But I digress.
