I pretty much agree with what you said, and I applaud for tackling this topic from another perspective (which I would call, ahem, not politically correct).

I had a teacher who swore that he was indeed a person of color - he was pink. :p (He was also 1/8 Cherokee, not that you could at all tell by looking at him - and he was married to a Hispanic woman, and his mother-in-law told him she wasn't sure of him marrying her daughter because all white people are uptight. Yeah, he was an interesting teacher.)
